Questions about acceptance

Where can I submit a CertTranslate certified translation?
CertTranslate prepares certified translations for U.S. immigration, universities, credential evaluators, courts, and government agencies. The receiving institution’s instructions determine the format and submission route. Choose its guide above, or use our requirements checker before ordering.
Does USCIS accept certified translations?
USCIS requires a full English translation of foreign-language documents, certified as complete and accurate by a translator who attests to their competence. CertTranslate includes a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy. See the USCIS Policy Manual and our USCIS translation guide.
Can I use the same translation for WES and a university?
You may be able to reuse the translation if both recipients accept its format. Check each recipient’s instructions first. WES separates translations from official academic records and allows applicants to upload translations through their account. A university may have a different submission route. See WES’s translation requirements.
Does NACES receive or evaluate my documents?
NACES does not perform credential evaluations. Its member agencies do, and each agency has its own requirements. Select the agency requested by your receiving school or licensing board. Check the official NACES member directory.
Do I need notarization or a printed copy?
Order notarization or a printed copy when your receiving institution asks for it. A signed translation certification, notarization, and an apostille serve different purposes. Share any required form or delivery instructions before ordering. See our certified vs. notarized translation guide.
What if my translation is rejected?
If your translation is rejected for a translation-related reason, we revise it free. If it is still rejected, we refund 100% of the translation cost. Send us the rejection letter so we can address the stated issue. See our acceptance guarantee for coverage and exclusions.
